The World Bank grants Serbia a loan of $ 800m. The loan covers Serbia´s budget deficit and enable the government to put more effort into infrastructure investments.

Due to the difficult economic situation, the World Bank supports Serbia. First of all, the financial institution grants $ 300m for the budget. Another $ 150m will be invested in infrastructure projects The most important issue is the road reconstruction. In 2014, Serbia will receive another $ 350m. Since 2000, the World Bank has granted more than $ 2.0bn to Serbia.
