Schlecker Insolvency: 3,000 Jobs Endangered

The German chemist chain today filed for insolvency. In Austria, Schlecker employs 3,000 workers.

At the end of last week, Schlecker announced to face severe financial difficulties. Now, the chain had to file for insolvency in Germany. Schlecker operates in Germany, Austria, Poland, Spain, Portugal, France and the Czech Republic and employs 47,000 workers. In Austria, staff totals 3,000. 970 branches are being operated.
