Sanochemia sees itself returning to profitability and announces to have achieved a substantial increase of its financial figures. “In spite of difficult framework conditions in the last business year, the turnaround has been achieved. The consequent implementation of a tough cost management, a continuous improvement of processes and successful distribution activities were the factors for the satisfying result.”, the company says.

In the business year 2010/11, which ended by September 2011, sales amounted to € 34.1m, which is a rise of 25% against the previous year (€ 27.1m). Thus, the expectations where exceeded. The new segment of veterinary pharmaceuticals contributed for 15% of Sanochemia´s sales. For the company, this confirms the “strategically reasonable decision of the acquisition of Alvetra.”

EBITDA, which amounted to € 5.2m could be almost doubled (2009/10: € 2.7m). EBIT reached € 1.7m after € -1.3m in the previous year). After negative earnings before taxes in 2009/10 (€ -2.0m), the figure returned to black this year (€ 0.9m). Sanochemia´s exports rose by 75% and totaled about € 8.0m. The company underlines substantial major orders from defined target markets, like Russia, Indonesia and Iran.
