Polish minister of finance Jacek Rostowski wants NBP (Polish National Bank) to lower the base rate further.

According to Rostowski, the interest cuts in the last months were not enough. From November to January, NBP has lowered the base rate by 0.25 bps each. At the moment, the base rate stands at 4.00%. Rostowski has criticized NBP´s monetary policy several times. The minister argued that the economic slowdown would not have taken place if NBP had cut the interest rates…
