Poland´s National Bank has decided to lower the base rate for the third time in a row.

NBP´s monetary policy council has cut the interest rate from 4.25% to 4.00%. This is the third cut in a row. At the beginning of November and December, NBP has lowered the interest rate by 25 bps each.
Due to Poland´s economic slowdown, further interest cuts are not excluded. According to governor Marek Belka, there is still enough space for expansive monetary policy measures.…
