In order to receive a precautionary loan from the IMF, Romania´s government will implement a series of reform steps. Above all, Romania starts privatizations again. Romania´s economic outlook continues to brighten.

This week, Romania´s government has concluded an agreement with the IMF and the EU Economic and Financial Committee, Prime Minister Ponta said. In total, Romania receives a loan of € 4.0bn equally split between the IMF and the EU. The authorities intend to treat the arrangements as precautionary.
