The Romanian Central Bank has cut the base rate to a record low of 4.25 percent.

In order to boost the country’s faltering economy, the Romanian National Bank has cut the base rate to 4.25 percent. As forecast by analysts, the Central Bank cut the base rate again by a quarter percentage point. Since July, the base rate has been reduced by one point. Experts expect a further cut until the end of the year.
