Rise in Austrian Exports by 21.0%

January to December 2010: imports considerably above, exports just below € 110bn.

According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to € 113.45bn and total exports amounted to € 109.19bn in the period January to December 2010. Austrian imports increased by 16.3% and Austrian exports rose by 16.5% compared to the same period in 2009. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of € 4.26bn.
