OMV Capital Increase Likely

Due to massive acquisitions in recent months, the Austrian OMV has to refinance. A capital increase is the most favorable option.

After buying Tunisian exploration rights at the beginning of this year and Turkish Petrol Ofisi in November last year, time pressure on OMV to refinance acquisitions increases. The sum amounts to € 1.7bn, with one billion due to the increase in shares of Petrol Ofisi.

Payments have already been made, financed temporarily by liquidity. The markets expect a capital increase…
