After 30 April 2011, an additional access to the Austrian labor market of about 11,500-16,500 people annually from Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia is expected.

There will be no rush to the Austrian labor market after the transitional periods for the Central and Eastern European EU member countries that joined in 2004 end on 1 May 2011.
