The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Vienna is calling for the promotion of its anti-nuclear initiatives and to commemorate the long-term consequences of the legacy of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear Weapons Test Site in eastern Ksakhstan.

August 29, 2021, marked the 30th anniversary of the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear weapons test site in Kazakhstan in 1991, as well as the initiative for a safer global future launched by former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
