Astana and Vienna Celebrate 27 Years of Diplomatic Relationships

Kazakhstan marks the 27th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Austria, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Kingdom of Spain. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Austria generated a trade surplus of 156.3 million US dollars last year.

Bilateral trade with Austria from January to November 2018 amounted to 162 million dollars, including exports from Kazakhstan reaching 5,7 million dollars and imports from Austria worth 157,1 million dollars.
The gross inflow of foreign direct investment from Austria into Kazakhstan’s economy amounted to 5, 776 billion dollars between 2005 and 2018.
