The Swiss and the Austrian Post have planned a joint venture to bundle international activities. The EU Commission has now issued its authorization.

On October 15, the merger between the two postal companies was agreed upon, and the last legal hurdle has now been overcome with the approval by the EU Commission. As of the start of next year, the operating divisions for international activities are merged.
