Consumer Price Inflation up to 2.0% in October 2010

Main drivers for inflation are energy prices. Thus, inflation further accelerates.

The annual inflation rate of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) measured by Statistics Austria was 2.0% in October 2010 which is slightly above the September rate (+1.9%). This result is mainly influenced by liquid fuel prices (+15% against October 2009; influence on the inflation 0.62 percentage points).
