Hungary: Sharp Decrease in Industrial Production

In November 2012, industrial gross output declined by 6.9% in volume compared to the same month of 2011.

In addition to the effect of the high base, this decrease mainly resulted from the heating demand, as well as from a further drop in demand for communication equipment and consumer electronics. It was slightly offset by an increase in output in the manufacture of transport equipment.
