Even in a challenging global economic environment, exports remain the driving force behind the Austrian economy. The go-international initiative of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce encourages companies to step across the border by offering advisory services, events and support, as well as making it easier for existing exporters to enter additional foreign markets.

To ensure that exports continue to play this important role in the future, the proven internationalisation initiative established by the Federal Ministry of Economy and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber has been expanded.

“Our goal is to make it even easier and more cost-effective to do business abroad or enter new markets. Particularly the growth markets outside the European Union offer exciting opportunities”, underlines Reinhold Mitterlehner, Federal Minister of Economy.

Export Support

“We invite all Austrian companies to take advantage of the many benefits offered by go-international”, emphasizes Christoph Leitl, President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber.

This export promotion initiative is implemented by Advantage Austria and comprises numerous support measures grouped into five clusters each focusing on a specific goal.

Other appealing features include the 16 direct grants which offer attractive co financing depending on the initiative and individual circumstances.

Additionally go-international offers companies discounted participation fees for events such as trade and fact-finding missions, trade fairs and Austria Showcases:

Cluster 1: How to do business abroad (motivation of SMEs to start exporting)
Cluster 2: Strengthen strengths (to accompany world champions in their respective niche to new markets)
Cluster 3: Exporting Know-how (export support of the services sector)
Cluster 4: From exporting to integrated value-chains (FDI in growth markets)
Cluster 5: Communicating Austria (creation of a modern image of Austria abroad)
