Hammerer Aluminum Industries (HAI) intends to grow in Italy. A site in Sardinia owned by the U.S. group Alcoa may be sold, HAI shows interest. Alcoa announced to shot down the site in January. 500 persons were employed at the aluminum factory. For Alcoa, the site is one of the most expensive.
