EVN: Rise in Sales, Decline in Profits Expected

The Austrian energy company will publish its results for the first quarter on February 28. Earnings should rise, profits should fall, RCB estimates.

The first quarter should bring mixed results for EVN, the analyst Raiffeisen Centrobank anticipates.
Gas demand was down by 7.6%, which was due to the higher temperatures. However, the gas price was up by 20% compared to last year. RCB expects EVN to record sales of € 840.3m (+4.8%). In the first quarter of 2010/11, sales reached € 802.2m.
