Decrease in Austrian Oil and Natural Gas Production

In 2011, production of oil was down by 4.7% to 919,437 tonnes. Natural gas production fell by 6.6%.

Last year, the Production of fossil fuels decreased significantly in Austria. In the oil production, a decrease of 4.7% to 919,437 tons could be observed. In the year before, oil production declined by 3.3%. The oil and gas company OMV had a stake of 86.5% last year (2010: 87%). The remaining oil production was done by EVN´s subsidiary RAG.
