Eurozone: Inflation Drops to 1.1 Percent

According to first estimates by Eurostat, the Eurozone shows the lowest inflation rate in more than a year. Only twelve months ago the inflation rate was at 2.7 percent.

In September, compared to August, the inflation rate in the Eurozone decreased from 1.3 percent to 1.1 percent. As announced by the European Union’s statistical office Eurostat on Friday, food, alcohol and tobacco were the greatest price drivers in August followed by services, industrial goods and energy.
