According to Latvia´s minister of Finance Andris Vilks, at least 50% of Latvian citizens should approve the euro introduction next year.

The Baltic country plans to join the Eurozone join 2014. Until now, the only Baltic country which has introduced the euro is Estonia. In March, Latvia will submit an application to the ECB.
