Sales rose by 2.3% for Austrian retail trade in the first quarter 2012.

For the first quarter of 2012 preliminary turnover results of Austrian retail trade increased by 4.7% in nominal terms compared to the first quarter of the previous year. Taking inflation into account, sales have increased by 2.3%. However, it must be mentioned that the first quarter 2012 had two more working days than the first quarter of the last year.
