Croatia: One Step Closer to the EU

According to their own statements, the Croatian government has fulfilled eight out of ten tasks, which must be finalized until July 2013. However, Croatia´s economic problems are far from being solved.

The EU Commission has obliged Croatia to fulfill certain criteria before joining the EU. Today, Croatia´s Minister of Foreign Affairs Vesna Pusic submitted the corresponding documents to Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Füle. Eight out of ten tasks are already accomplished, Pusic said. However, Croatia is not able to provide a sufficient degree of security at the border to Bosnia.…
