Construction Output Increased by 1.5% from January to August

Construction of buildings was up by 6.8% while output in civil engineering declined by 6.6%. Volume of orders increased by 6.9%.

According to calculations by Statistics Austria, Austrian building construction and civil engineering companies produced a construction output value of € 8.9bn in the reporting period from January until August 2011; this corresponds to an increase of 1.5% compared to the previous year.
