Austrian output of construction of buildings and civil engineering decreased by 3.4% from January until April 2011. Volume of orders increased by 8.1%.

According to calculations by Statistics Austria, Austrian building construction and civil engineering companies produced a construction output value of €  3.3bn in the reporting period from January until April 2011; this corresponds to a decrease of 3.4% compared to the previous year.
