In an interview with the Austrian newspaper „Presse“, Uniqa´s CEO Andreas Brandstetter is optimistic to become a big player in the insurance industry in the CESEE region.

At the moment, the insurance group ranks 7th in the European emerging markets. Until 2015, Uniqa should reach place seven, Brandstetter says. The biggest competitor is the Austrian Vienna Insurance Group (VIG), which ranks first for years. Last year, 600,000 new customers were recorded, Brandstetter underlines.
