The leaders of the old government, Chancellor Werner Faymann and Deputy Chancellor Michael Spindelegger, announced to form a new government.

At the elections at the end of September, the two governing parties SPÖ and ÖVP could keep a slight majority. Now, both parties will continue their co-operation and form a new government again. Despite their promises, there will be no structural reforms.
However, the two coalition parties published an overview of their program. In essence, there are no surprises.
