After a warning strike on Friday, representatives of the metal industry and the trade union still reached no agreement. Now, a full strike threatens.

The trade union still claims a wage increase for the metal workers by 5.5%. The workers representatives refer to the good results of the industry in 2010/11 and the high inflation rate. The metal industry offers an increase by 3.65% plus a lump sum of € 200. For the employers, the overall economic situation is becoming worse and global insecurities are increasing.
