Austrian Exports to Morocco Booming
In spite of the turbulent developments in the Arab region, the Maghreb state could maintain a strong economic growth. In 2011, Austrian exports to Morocco rise by 16%.

“Morocco has overcome the global economic crisis in 2009 and 2010 very well.”, the Austrian foreign trade delegate Christoph Plank reports. In 2009, Morocco´s GDP rose by 4.9% and in 2010 by 3.2%. Plank: “Due to the impetus from Morocco´s agriculture, GDP will grow by 4.0% this year.” Furthermore, foreign direct investments increased as well.
