Agrana Opens Production Site in Egypt

The Austrian fruit, starch and sugar company has started production in its new plant which is seen as a basis for further expansion in the Middle East and North Africa.

Agrana brought its new production site in Egypt into service at the end of May 2011, which it operates under the name ‘Agrana Nile Fruits’ as part of its joint venture with the Egyptian company Nile Fruits. The Austrian company is the majority stockholder in the joint venture with 51%.
