Austria: Unemployment Grows

Increase in unemployment in the third quarter of 2012, number of employees also growing.

According to Statistics Austria, the number of employed persons increased to a total of 4.242 million in the third quarter of 2012 (4.200 million in the third quarter of 2011). Employees increased clearly (male +17 000, female +34 400) and self-employed decreased (total -9 200) in the year to year comparison.
