Austria: Slight Economic Growth

The Austrian Institute for Economic Research (Wifo) has forecast an increase of the macroeconomic production by 0.2 percent in real terms compared to the previous quarter.

In a flash estimate Wifo has determined economic growth in Austria of 0.2 percent after stagnation in the first half year. On an annual comparison this means a growth rate of 0.7 percent. Economic weakness still concerns all important demand components, however, gross investments increased slightly while export are still weak.
