More employees and more unemployed; fewer self-employed and the same number of job vacancies in the second quarter of 2012

According to Statistics Austria, the number of employed increased to a total of 4.191 million in the second quarter of 2012 (4.141 million in the second quarter of 2011). Employees increased strongly (male +34 500, female +38 000) and self-employed decreased (male -16 900, female -5 900) in the year to year comparison.
