Austria: Labor Restrictions for Croatian Citizens

The Austrian Foreign Ministry announced to use the maximum transitional period of seven years before Croatian citizens can enter the Austrian labor market.

So far, no country has announced any labor market restrictions for Croatian citizens after the joining of the European Union on July 1. However, as with the eastward expansion in 2004 and 2007 restrictions are expected for Croatia.
