More than 150,000 people in Austria do not have a bank account. A lack in financial education causes a loss of 1.0% of GDP.

In Austria, there are more than one million people at risk of poverty. For more than 29% of households, unexpected expenses pose a problem; every fifth household is unable to take part in everyday economic life. The fall into poverty is usually triggered by low income.
