For CEO Jan Satek, a German national, the takeover is a “logical step”. The Austrian supermarket discounter is sold by the Luxemburg-based financial investor bluO-Group. The Group acquired Zielpunkt in 2010 from the German Tengelmann Group. The supermarket chain is loss-making since several years.
