Wifo: Economy grew by 2.4 % in the second quarter
According to the Wirtschaftsforschungsinstitut (Economic Research Institute) the growth in the second quarter was due mainly to exports and investment. For the rest of the year, however, the Institute expects a slowdown in economic activity.

The economic upswing in Austria was considerably higher in the second quarter of 2010 than previously assumed.
According to the most recent calculations of the Economic Research Institute Wifo, the gross domestic product (GDP) was 2.4 % higher by end of the second quarter than the previous year’s value.
