After the Association Agreement between the Ukraine and the European Union failed head of state Mykola Asarov stated economic reasons for the abrupt stop.

Afer years of preparations the Ukraine’s agreement with the European Union was suddently stopped only one week before the planned signing at the summit in Vilnius. According to Prime Minister Asarov there were economic reasons for the country’s unexpected backing out of an EU approximation.
