Surprising Profit at AUA
Due to special items, Austrian Airlines could achieve positive results in the first half year of 2012.

In the first six months of 2012, AUA achieved a positive net income of € 26m. However, this was only due to a special item of € 135m. After the transfer of undertakings, Austrian Airlines will have to grant lower severance payments in future. Pension contributions will decrease as salaries will be frozen for the majority of AUA´s workforce.
