Supreme Court: Investors Misled by Meinl European Land Promotional Brochure
The Supreme Court ruled in favor of an investor who was led astray by a MEL-shares promotional brochure. The Meinl Bank describes the ruling as "contradictory," and as "not a good sign for the Austrian capital market."

A ruling that is binding was given by the Austrian Supreme Court (OGH) in the cause about the former Meinl European Land (MEL).
The Chief Justices addressed the question of whether the Meinl Bank induced an investor to error concerning the risk of the paper by means of the MEL promotional brochure, and they concluded that he was right.
