January to February 2011: Austrian imports increased by 26%, exports rose by 24%.

According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to € 19.42bn and total exports amounted to € 18.28bn in the period January to February 2011. Austrian imports increased by 25.5% and Austrian exports rose by 24.2% compared to the same period in 2010. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of € 1.14bn.
