January to October 2010: imports and exports increased by more than 15%

According to preliminary results by Statistics Austria, total imports amounted to € 92.90bn and total exports amounted to € 89.48bn in the period January to October 2010. Austrian imports increased by 15.3% and Austrian exports rose by 15.4% compared to the same period in 2009. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of € 3.42bn.
