The government has still not yet published figures in regard to the current fiscal burden emerging from the winding-up of problem bank Hypo Group Alpe Adria.

Ahead of the Finance Committee, Finance Minister Michael Spindelegger announced that the Hypo issue “enormously” burdened the tax payers in the past years and continues to do so in the future. He suggested stopping pretending like the issue has emerged in 2014 only.
