Slovakia: Unemployment Grows

In the third quarter of 2012, the Slovak unemployment quota was up by 0.5 percentage points to 13.7%. At the same time, employment is growing substantially.

The total employment 1) according to LFSS increased by 12,5 thous. (by 0,5 %) to 2 342,8 thous. persons, year-on-year, in the 3nd quarter of 2012. The increase was affected mostly by a rise of the number of the employed abroad less than 1 year by 11,3 thous. persons (by 9,8 %). The seasonally adjusted employment decreased by 13,1 thous.…
