Ewald Nowotny, governor of Austria´s Central Bank (OeNB) thinks that the economic situation in Slovenia is under control.

Nowotny plays down the economic crisis in Slovenia. Of course, there were “surprising statements”, Nowotny says. But the pessimism would be unfounded, he suggests. But Recently, Prime Minister Janez Jansa warned of a national bankruptcy in October. Also the Austrian EU-Commissioner Johannes Hahn argues that the situation in Slovenia is not so dramatic.
