Serbia´s National Bank Fights Against Inflation

Today, the Serbian National Bank raised the base rate from 10.50% to 10.75%. IMF has lowered the economic outlook for Serbia.

The interest increase is due to the higher inflation expectations. The growth of food prices would be higher than expected, the Council of NBS said. Now, the interest increase should top the spillover to other prices.
