Serbia: Inflation Grew Further

Last year, the Republic of Serbia has recorded an inflation rate of 12.1%.

In 2013, NBS (National Bank of Serbia) wants to achieve an inflation rate of 5.5%. According to NBS governor Jorgovanka Tabakovic, the Serbian dinar will remain stable in 2013. Two weeks ago, NBS has lifted the interest rate by 0.25 bps to 10.75%. The interest increase is due to the higher inflation expectations.

According to IMF, the consumer prices are expected to reach 5.9%.…
