According to the FMA report, 2010 was a solid financial year for the Austrian insurance industry.

In the report released yesterday for the fourth quarter of 2010, the Finanzmarktaufsichtsbehörde (FMA, Financial Market Authority) indicates that the domestic insurance industry has enjoyed a solid financial year. Premium income increased in all divisions compared with the previous year; the profit from ordinary activities was € 1.1 bn, the second-high in the last five years.…
