Romania: Raiffeisen Bank Issues Unsecured Bonds

Raiffeisen announced plans of issuing unsecured bonds at the stock exchange in Bucharest with a nominal value of RON 500m (€ 112.8m) with a maturity of five years.

The financial institute placed the issue, which was oversubscribed, on Wednesday according to the bank’s own information. The annual interest rate comes at 5.35 percent.

In July last year, the lender sold its entire offer of unsecured RON-denominated corporate bonds in the amount of RON 225m.

Last year the Romanian affiliate of Raiffeisen bank generated a net profit in the amount of € 104m. The lender has a total of 528 bank shops and around 5,500 members of staff.
