According to the Energy Ministry, cited in the media, a joint venture could be formed between Exxon, OMV Petrom and Transgaz to transport the Black Sea gas onshore. The Neptun well is located some 170 km from Romanian shore and some 220 km from the Turkish shore. Negotiations have most likely just begun but are expected to intensify over the following years.
